Autobiography

ALTYNBEKOVA OLGA BAYMUKHANOVNA was born in St. Petersburg. Doctor of Philology, Professor. She entered the Philological faculty of the Kazakh State University in 1969, which she graduated with honors in 1974. She graduated from the postgraduate course of the Kazakh Pedagogical University named after Abai. She has been working at the Kazakh National University since January 1980. In 1989, she defended Russian language PhD thesis at the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences (Moscow) on the topic "Grammatical category of gender in the Russian speech of bilinguals-Kazakhs", specialty 10.02.01 – Russian language. In 2006, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the topic "The linguistic situation in Kazakhstan: macro- and microsociolinguistic paradigm", specialty 10.02.19 – theory of language. Author of more than 400 scientific publications, including monographs "Ethnolanguage processes in Kazakhstan", "The linguistic situation of Kazakhstan in dynamics", textbooks of the Russian language for universities and secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Author of articles published in the USA, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Greece, Bulgaria, Russia, Estonia, China, India, Taiwan, etc. Member of the working group on the development of the State Program for the development and functioning of languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011–2020. Russian World Foundation grant holder, one of the developers of the international project "Creation of textbooks on the morphology of the modern Russian language for philological specialties of CIS universities". Participant of the republican project of the Committee on languages of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Ethnolinguistic situation in the Republic Kazakhstan: present and future", as well as the project The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan with the support of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Language policy and ethno-cultural education in a multilingual society". Russian language expert of the National center for state education standards and testing (NCGSOT) MES RK (2002–2007). Member of the dissertation council for doctoral defense dissertations D 14 A.01.22 (2008 –2011). Council Member Kazakhstan Association of Russian Teachers language and literature (KazPRYAL).
